Bringing Alarm Monitoring System Data into navIQore
navIQore's new AMS module turns raw vessel machinery alarm and event data into a searchable, filterable, exportable operational view — with configurable alert emails and the same metrics available directly on the main fleet dashboard.

A vessel's machinery generates a constant stream of alarms and status signals — hundreds of individual points across main engines, generators, cooling systems and control equipment. Making sense of that volume, quickly enough to matter, is exactly the problem navIQore's new Alarm Monitoring System (AMS) module is built to solve: turning raw machinery data into a clear operational view that can be searched, filtered, compared, investigated and exported.
AMS is organised around two complementary views. Metrics gives a vessel's latest machinery readings, refreshed automatically every minute, with the option to add historical snapshots alongside the latest values for direct comparison. Readings can be viewed grouped by system and category — main engine, generators, cooling systems and more — or switched to a compact list, and searched or filtered by machinery category, operational state or event type, and UTC or local time. Opening an individual signal shows its full timestamp history and values; for analogue signals, that includes the configured high and low alarm thresholds and the recorded minimum and maximum, while discrete signals show their possible states and what each one means.
Events takes the same underlying data and turns it into an investigation tool: reviewing the latest events or a chosen historical date, defining the time window to look at, searching and filtering by category and event type, and sorting by date or value. Relevant classifications include active and inactive alarms, active and inactive events, running or idle machinery, high and low analogue values, neutral states, and invalid or out-of-range readings — each colour-coded so a user can recognise the operational state at a glance, without AMS ever standing in for engineering judgement or existing safety procedures. Opening an event shows the same signal detail, states and thresholds available from the Metrics view, and both views export their filtered results to CSV for reporting or further analysis.
Configurable alerts extend AMS beyond the dashboard itself: users can be notified by email, either as they occur or as a daily digest, so relevant alarms and events reach the right people without someone needing to be watching the screen. And because AMS shares its data model with the rest of the platform, the same machinery metrics are also available directly from navIQore's main fleet dashboard — not siloed in a separate tool.
Together, these capabilities support a natural path from overview to investigation: faster situational awareness, quicker identification of abnormal conditions, side-by-side comparison of current and historical data, and less manual work assembling reports or sharing findings between vessel and shore teams.
